YogaLove Oakland

We think YogaLove’s name says it all. And we love that they intentionally offer small class sizes to provide care to each student and opportunities to actually get to know each other.

YogaLove is a community space, art gallery, and yoga studio in North Oakland. The founder and caretaker of the space is Treina Alexander (pictured). Treina opened YogaLove in 2013 as the first Queer Women of Color (QWOC) yoga studio in Oakland. Most of the current teachers are folks of color who live in Oakland.

Can we tell you how excited we are for the breadth of practices that YogaLove's teachers share?! Yes, they’re bringing more opportunities for amazing vinyasa, yin, and restorative yoga.

And YogaLove teaches

  • Egyptian yoga from Ancient Kemet,

  • Plus Size yoga,

  • MaYoni’at Womb yoga for anybody with an energetic and/or physical womb, and

  • 30-45 minute Well-fit classes with Cardio, Strength, and Stretching.

Yes, yes, yes!

TendWell is collaborating to host YogaLove's livestream classes. Many of their classes are also offered in-person in their sweet, cozy, colorful space or sunlit garden. Please book directly with YogaLove to practice in-person.
